OPTIMIZATION OF PRODUCTION EQUIPMENT FOR TOMS 'SWEETS

Kirkholm helps Toms optimize production equipment - specially developed to produce their well-known products. Tom's Gold Caramels, Yankie Bars, Giant Turtles, Penguin Rods - Toms Gruppen is behind a large number of sweet favorites and is Denmark's leading producer of sweets and chocolate.

To produce the sweet things, it is essential that the company's production equipment is just right. Tom's attaches great importance to the company constantly developing and optimizing its production apparatus. In this way, they ensure a streamlined production that is up-to-date.

While Toms are specialists in taste experiences, Kirkholm are specialists in mechanical solutions. Precisely for this reason, Kirkholm has contributed to the ongoing further development of Toms' equipment. With extensive knowledge and experience in production equipment for, among other things, the food industry, Kirkholm has challenged Toms in areas such as innovation, concept development, design and optimization.

Because Toms has used Kirkholm consultants, they own all the specialist knowledge and documentation developed in the project. Thus, no one else can build exactly the same production apparatus, while Toms can continue to produce quality products in long courses - to the delight of many candy mouths.

About the collaboration with Kirkholm, technical manager Jens Neergaard-Petersen says:

- Kirkholm has provided professional project management on one of our largest and most complex projects. The project consisted of a number of sub-projects, where Kirkholm managed to create a good overview of finances, project planning and risk. In addition, Kirkholm got all the necessary stakeholders involved, so everyone felt ownership of the project.
